In my opinion, the golden era of music was between the late 60’s through the 90’s. Basically, from the time The Beatles became a world wide phenomenon to the time Nirvana ended. I realize that’s quite a bit of time, but think about all the great bands that came and went in 40 years.

There was everything from Pink Floyd, to Zeppelin, to Van Halen, to Soundgarden. Oh, how I miss the days when rock music was the biggest thing on the face of the planet. I’d basically give anything to go back in time and live in that era.

If you’re like me and you’d like to relive the glory days of rock-n-roll you might want to check out the Rockin’ Hollywoods when they play at Lakeside Park (Big Lake.) They’ll be covering rock tunes spanning from the 50s through the 80s. You can catch their performance at 7 pm and admission is free.
