We may have new music from the Pink Floyd mastermind sooner rather than later.

Roger Waters says that he's had the concept album rolling around in his head since the 1990's.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Roger says he has a tentative title for the album and just finished writing some new music for the project. It all came out of a song he wrote for the movie Michael that he claims provides the "cornerstone" and a "core idea" for the album. The song he wrote is called If I Had Been God that deals with religious extremism and he admits he's "sort of obsessed with" the whole concept of that. Roger also says that he's determined to complete this album soon and get it out to the fans.

If it does happen, this will be his first studio album since 1992's Amused to Death. He did write and produce a rock opera called Ca Ira and also put out Roger Waters In the Flesh Live which is amazing.

Can't wait to see what this next album holds!
