I Think This Might Be the Worst Traffic Light in St. Cloud

HORRIBLE TRAFFIC LIGHTS

We have all heard about how awful Division is with the amount of lights that you need to stop at.  We have all also heard that there is supposedly a certain speed that you can drive down Division and work it so that you will hit every light green.  It does seem like if you start out with a red light on one end of town, you will hit every one, and vice versa.

Also, aren't there some left turn lights on Division that seem as though they never turn green?  It seems that you can run through a cycle or two of lights and it still doesn't turn green for the left turn drivers.  And honestly, how long do you wait through those cycles until you just go with no one is coming?  I go two, then I just go.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE

There is a traffic light that isn't on Division that is crazy!  The one I am referring to is on Roosevelt Road and Traverse Road.  This is located as you are headed out of town towards 94.  And if you are on Roosevelt, you're fine.  The problem comes in if you are traveling on Traverse road and you want to turn left onto Roosevelt.

IS IT BECAUSE OF THE CURVE OF THE ROAD

The angle of the road is odd, and it's slightly curved. It seems that you really need to pull up almost all the way onto Roosevelt in order for the light sensor to know that someone wants to turn there.  If you turn right - no big deal.  Just go if it's clear to go.  Left turn.  You might be waiting until next Christmas.  The longest I have sat there is 5 minutes.  I timed it.  Then I just went without it turning green. Then, I looked back and the light did change.  Probably because I went through it when I wasn't supposed to.

This should never be the case.  Certain lights should be on a timer or something.  Because if you get stuck behind someone at that particular light, and they don't know that they need to pull way up, you might be sitting there for an eternity.  Or, just turn right and make a U-Turn back the other way.  That might work too.  Shouldn't have to do that, however.
