SCSU Baseball Falls In Regional Finals

The St. Cloud State baseball team lost 5-4 to Minnesota State-Mankato in the NCAA Division II Central Regional finals in Mankato Sunday to win the Central Region Championship.  Mike Eckhart drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 9th inning.

Joey Benke went 2-4 with 1 RBI and Brian Hansen hit a 2-run homerun for the Huskies.  Chris Kubitz allowed 1 earned run in 3 1/3 innings to take the loss for St. Cloud State.  SCSU’s season ends with a record of 48-14.
