See This Minnesota Born Actor In Maybe His Most Important Role
As most of you know, getting older brings its own challenges. Things we used to be able to do aren’t quite as easy or as fun as they used to be.
And when you hit a certain age, you have to start thinking about certain medical tests that, let’s just say don’t do much for your humility. More on that in a moment.
Today is actor Breckin Meyer’s birthday. He turns 51. You probably know him from the movies Clueless, Road Trip, and Garfield. He’s also been on countless TV shows and other movies that you might have seen as well.
Did you know that Breckin was born in Minneapolis? He was, but he lived in several other places around the country.
Now back to the medical tests I mentioned earlier. Breckin may have completed his most important work last month. The actor, showing his incredible sense of humor, filmed the before and after of him having his first colonoscopy.
Meyer gave his followers on Instagram the behind the scenes lead up and after effect of having the procedure done. In the well edited video, Meyer shows himself getting ready and then coming out from under the med’s used during the procedure.
Warning: Some may be offended by the tone of the video, or how he says certain things, but the goal here was to give people the insiders look at what they can expect if they haven’t had a colonoscopy yet.
In all seriousness, having a colonoscopy has gotten easier over the years. My last one a few years ago was dramatically easier to prep for than my first one 27 years ago.
Early detection is key with everything, and the peace of mind that can come along afterward if everything looks ok is really important too.
So, hopefully you’ll enjoy the humor in what Breckin put out, and if you haven’t had a colonoscopy, go ahead and make that appointment.
Oh, and Happy Birthday Breckin Meyer.
