Several Rock Icons Are Getting Their Own Comic Books

As a fan of all things rock-n-roll, I not only enjoy the music listening experience, but I also love hearing the life stories of my artistic heroes. Whether it’s Roger Waters, Sammy Hagar, or Maynard James Keenan, I’ll read anything I can get my hands on to learn more about the musicians that have had an impact on my life.

But let’s be honest here. Sometimes trying to tackle a 500 page book can be rather exhausting (not to mention - boring at times.) Thankfully, now there’s a more entertaining way to study the lives of rocks biggest icons.

In a recent partnership between Ingram and TidalWave Comics, the biographies of your favorite rockers can now be read in comic book form. For me, it’s the perfect combination. Why? Because I’m a rocker by day and a nerd by night. It’s Led Zeppelin in the morning, but chess in the evening – when no one can see me. Sounds like I should have my own comic.

TidalWave will be issuing comics on: Pink Floyd, Metallica, Kurt Cobain, and Ozzy Osbourne, among several others (I have my fingers crossed for a Tool edition.) Some of them are already available for purchase on Amazon. I’ve always wanted to collect comic books but I never quite found the right series that interested me – until now. I have a feeling I will be spending quite a large chunk of money on these bad boys.
