Good grief!! We go from the high 80s and 90s, and in some areas around Minnesota hit triple digits in the last few weeks.  Now, I'm debating turning the heat back on in my house because it's so cold!

Ok. I'm not going to do that, I'll just grab another blanket, but let's be honest; it's certainly tempting.

As we come upon the unofficial start to the Summer season in Minnesota, otherwise known as Memorial Day weekend, there are some waterparks that are opening.  One of which is Soak City at Valleyfair in Shakopee

Memorial Day weekend is always a crap shoot.  You can have very cool and rainy weather, or you could have hot and humid weather.  You really can never plan on weather conditions.  That's some of the beauty of living in Minnesota.

This weekend looks to be in the upper 60s, maybe low 70s, which isn't too bad if the sun is out too.  And so far, it looks like that may happen.  That would be great!

One of the things that people do look forward to in this state is spending as much time as you can outside in the warmer months and soak up all that Vitamin D and have some fun in the sun.  Soak City at Valleyfair is great, and it is opening this weekend regardless of what the weather is planning to do.

Is it heated?

I certainly hope so.  Because with temperatures around the upper 60s, low 70s and sun, some heated water at the water park would be ideal. That way families would be able to enjoy fun in the sun and some warmer water.

Soak City at Valleyfair Hours

This weekend, the hours are 11am to 6pm.  They hours do change as we move into the Summer months. You can check the hours and days that they are open on their website

If you want to go this weekend - for opening weekend, if you buy your tickets online, you can save 30%

Hopefully it warms up significantly throughout the next few weeks.  Happy sliding and swimming at Soak City!
