The team has two more games in the Twin Cities this week, but the Granite City Lumberjacks are at home for a showdown with the Wisconsin Woodsman Friday and Saturday at the Miller Buick GMC Arena. Here's what you need to know.

Norsemen Fall To Philadelphia Rebels In Blaine

The St. Cloud Norsemen lost their first game of the year, but it was to an out-of-division foe. The Norsemen are currently down in the Twin Cities, playing in the NAHL Showcase series at the Super Rink in Blaine.

Yesterday's game saw the Norsemen take on the Philadelphia Rebels, and the final score was 4-3 in favor of the Rebels. The Rebels, who play in the East Division of the NAHL, are now 2-2-0-1 on the year.

The Norsemen fell to 2-0-1-0 and are in 3rd place in the Central Division, behind both Aberdeen and North Iowa, who are 3-0-0-0.

Up next for the Norsemen is another game in Blaine, but on Friday at 3 p.m. against the Johnstown Tomahawks, also of the East. The final game of the showcase for the Norsemen will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. against the Springfield Jr. Blues of the Midwest Division.

Lumberjacks Back At Home This Weekend

The Granite City Lumberjacks are back in action this weekend, in the friendly confines of the Miller Buick GMC Arena. The Lumberjacks are hosting the Wisconsin Woodsmen of the Central Division.

The Lumberjacks have played one game so far this season, and they won it, 6-2 over the Willmar Warhawks. Their opponent this weekend, the Wisconsin Woodsmen, comes into the weekend series at 1-3 on the year.

Puck drop is scheduled for both Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and you can save on your tickets by buying them through the Value Connection.
