ST. JOSEPH --  A failing St. Joseph park facility appears to be getting a major renovation.

Designs for a new facility at Millstream park has been going on for the past year and a half.

City Administrator Judy Weyrens say construction cost is around $600,000.

"The cost of the project includes heating and cooling and using it as a year-round facility," says Weyrens.

The current building is one of the city's oldest park facilities. Weyrens says Millstream Park could become one of the city's most versatile spots.

"The facility will be rented out for family events, weddings, or what ever event they want to use it. We would rent it out year-round if desired," says Weyrens.

No action was taken, however they hope to have a site plan finished by this week.
