The Paynesville Bulldogs (9-2) and the Pierz Pioneers (11-0) have both advanced to the semifinals in the 2017 state football tournament.

With over 240 wins in 30 as head coach, Pierz's Leo Pohlkamp has been inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

It was a dominating finish to what was an impressive season for the Becker Bulldogs who captured the Class 4A title yesterday (Friday) 35-14 against South St. Paul at TCF Bank Stadium.
