The Minnesota Vikings have traded quarterback Matt Cassel to the Buffalo Bills, in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. Cassel has played 10 seasons in the NFL, and arrived in Minnesota in 2013. He was the starter at the beginning of last season before injuring his foot.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, suspended by the NFL since early last season stemming from charges of child abuse, released the following statement on Friday.

Federal Judge David Doty has overturned Adrian Peterson's suspension by the NFL, but the next step seems to be up to the league. The judge ruled that the NFL's arbitrator overstepped his authority in suspending Peterson. Where this leaves the relationship between Peterson and the Vikings is unclear.
