Former guitarist believes frontman wanted to be a celebrity instead of a musician.

The bassist played his final performance with Thin Lizzy on Sept. 4, 1983.

Philomena Lynott, mother of Thin Lizzy's Phil Lynott, turned 83 on Oct. 22 -- and some uninvited guests almost made it a very unhappy birthday.

Investigators are looking for information after a statue of Thin Lizzy bassist Phil Lynott in Dublin was seriously damaged after it was apparently pushed over by vandals.
