The Secret to a Long Life, Alcohol, Coffee and Being Overweight?
I guess, I never really expect to live a ultra-long life. I have a few unhealthy vices but according to this article, I may live into my 90's. Gee, I would have budgeted better, had I known.
University of California's Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders released this research on living beyond your 90th birthday.
According to researchers “People who drank moderate amounts of alcohol or coffee lived longer than those who abstained,” and that “people who were overweight in their 70's lived longer than normal or underweight people did.”.
This is great news for those that like a good cup or two of brew in the morning and a daily cocktail. Overweight people in their 70's lived longer than underweight people, researcher found.
1600 people over the age of 90 were studied to find out why there are more people living well into their 90's and beyond.
America's oldest living person, Richard Overton, who is 112 says he drinks a strong cup of coffee with cream, sugar and a shot of whiskey every morning. So, there you go.
