I always find it odd when I see ads for beer, wine and and all other varieties of alcoholic beverages, where everyone is celebrating and having a great time. It was less than 100 years ago alcohol was outlawed in the US. People had to sneak around to drink and the sale of alcohol was a criminal enterprise.  Sound familiar?

I've heard all the arguments against the total legalization of marijuana. "It's a gateway drug". No, it's a freakin' plant. It's 2020 and we have laws against using and possessing a plant. That's just crazy.

I realize there is potential for abuse but that applies to many things that are perfectly legal. Much like alcohol, there will always be a small percentage of people that will ultimately abuse marijuana

So, because of that small percentage, no one is allowed to use it?  If that is the case then why is alcohol still legal. The damage alcohol inflicts on society is well known. But, it people want to drink, lwe let them, It's a free country.

Of course, there are the old fogies and prudes in government that are just plain ignorant and will always oppose legalization. Fact is, most Americans support total legalization.

And I haven't even touched on the medical benefits that are possible with cannabis. Imagine all the research that could have been done had marijuana not been a schedule 1 drug for almost a century. BTW, other schedule 1 drugs are meth and heroin.
