It has been an unbelievable year. Not only have the Twins...who were 13 games back to finish the season last year...improved their record. But they continue to set major league records this year.

A few weeks ago, they became the first team in the history of baseball to have 8 players hit more than 20 home runs in a season. Tonight they became the first team in history to have 5 players hit 30 or more home runs in a season.

The Twins are now just a handful of wins away from winning the division. When the season started the season I did predict that the Twins would win the central. I didn't expect them to do it like this.

No, they haven't won it yet. The "magic" number is eight. That's a combination of Twins wins and Indians losses. But given the schedule for the rest of the year for both teams, I don't see why it won't happen.

There is one thing that might put a slight damper on this historic season . The Yankees are just a couple of home runs behind the Twins. Yes, the Yankees have also beat their record from last year (the Astros and Dodgers will probably beat it as well). This season will be known as the "juiced ball" season.

No matter what, it's been a great year to watch the Twins. No matter what happens in the playoffs, they have given us a season we will never forget.
