A couple of months ago, we learned that the Mongolian Grill in St. Cloud, Mongo's, was going to be closing  A lot of people were bummed out after hearing that news.

Mongo's was very popular and people who loved that restaurant were not pleased with the news that one of their favorite places was going away.  But, it was to be replaced with Hu Hot, which is also a Mongolian Grill, and actually more widely known overall as compared to Mongo's. Hu Hot is now open in the former Mongo's location - in the HOM Furniture complex.

I have always loved Mongo's and I was absolutely one of those people who was bummed at the closure. I have also lived in several places that did have a Hu Hot, and it's very good.  We always thought that Mongo's was a bit better... but really it's the same concept, so you will not be losing most of what you liked about Mongo's.

One of the things that I did appreciate about Hu Hot is the listed recipes above the sauces and oils.  Depending on the specific desired taste, you can follow one of the recipes listed, or just go wild and add whatever you'd like.  Honestly, more often than not, that is the route that I would take.  Hu Hot also has some tasty appetizers offered if you would like to indulge a little more than just your bowl of goodness.

Hu Hot also has some dining or take out options.

Enjoy your favorite Mongolian BBQ with a whole new twist! Opt for the one-bowl option (take home any leftovers) or dive into our unlimited all-you-can-eat experience (dine-in only, no leftovers).

If you have been following Mongo's on social media, this is the most current post - and it gives you Hu Hot information now.

So, gonna check it out?  I might now have plans for lunch/dinner/weekend, whatever.
