ST. CLOUD — It's time to celebrate this weekend in Central Minnesota with some great music and fun including Sawyer Brown at Pierz Freedom Fest, Theatrical performance of Into the Woods at Pioneer Place, Hank Williams Jr. rocking the stage at Mystic Lake, The Sherburne County Fair and Disney's broadway performance of the Lion King at the Orpheum Theatre. There's some big musical acts making their way to Pierz this weekend. Saturday kicks off the 4th annual Pierz Freedom Fest. Sharing the stage are country music acts DiamondBack, Maiden Dixie and Little Texas beginning at 3:00 p.m. The night wraps up with Sawyer Brown rocking the stage at 10:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $40. Concerts take place at the Genola Ballfields. Gates open at 2:00 p.m.
The Curtain Call Community theatre returns to Pioneer Place with their performance of the classic Tony Award-winning book Into The Woods. The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child and when they learn they can't because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. The show runs tonight (Thursday) through Saturday. Tickets are $22 for adults and $19 for students and seniors. Showtimes start at 7:30 p.m.
Grab all your rowdy friends and head to Mystic Lake tonight (Thursday) to see Country Music legend Hank Williams Jr. Williams Jr. will be performing on the Mystic Amphitheater where you will hear classics like “Family Tradition,” and “A Country Boy Can Survive.” Tickets for the show range from $40-$80 and they are going fast. Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
The annual Sherburne County Fair makes it's way back to Elk River for another year. Today (Thursday) through Sunday you can experience carnival rides, fair food and live entertainment. Tomorrow (Friday) night the 1980s tribute band Hairball will take the stage. Tickets are $3 at the gate, kids 5 and younger get in for free. Fair hours run from 7:00 a.m. to midnight today through Saturday, and 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday.

Have another chance to catch Disney’s The Lion King as it returns to the Orpheum Theatre tonight (Thursday) through Sunday.
