There’s a Less Chance of Dying Young If You Have a Dog
Just one more great reason to have a dog. I can't imagine our house without Astro the Wonder Dog living there. If you're like me, a dog isn't just a pet, it's a member of the family.
There's a new 70 year study out that looked at 4 million people in 6 different countries. People that had a dog had a 24% less chance of dying young.
If you have a dog as a family member, you know, they can really keep you moving. Playing, walking them, etc kind of forces you to exercise more and just petting a dog can lower your blood pressure. you have a 31% less chance of developing heart disease. Dog owners that have suffered a heart attack or stroke tend to recover faster.
Not to mention, the endless stories of dogs that have awakened their owners during a house fire or protected someone from an attacker.
Yes sir, dogs are just the best.
