This Friday Night, Holiday Cheer with Winterwalk in St. Joe
Are you ready?
Winter. Even though not everyone who lives here loves winter. In fact, most people feel like it could just go away after the holidays. But, that is not the case. So, we try and make the best of it with all sorts of fun activities throughout the holiday season, and into the beginning part of the year.
One of those fun events is happening this Friday night, December 6th, in St. Joe. It's Winterwalk. .
What is Winter Walk?

– JoeTown WinterWalk Festival, happening on Friday, Dec. 6 from 4-8 p.m., promises an exciting line-up of holiday events, activities, and new attractions in downtown St. Joseph. Set along Minnesota Street and parts of College Avenue, this memorable evening is free to guests of all ages.
Some of the highlights of the festival include:
TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
7pm at the Church of St. Joseph lawn. Carolers from Saint John’s Preparatory School under the direction of Jeff Engholm will lead the crowd in singing “O Christmas Tree.”
SANTA & MRS CLAUS
They will be hanging out on the patio at Bello Cucina Italian Steakhouse from 4-8pm, giving you a chance to take photos with you and your family.
BIG RIGS WITH BRENNY TRANSPORTATION
4-8pm at the Southeast corner of College Avenue and Minnesota Street
LUMINARY WALK
4-8pm all throughout downtown St. Joseph
There will be some new activities for families to do together like crafting with Santa's Elves, puppy petting, and free Hot Chocolate, while supplies last, from Obbink Distilling. This will be located by the Big Rigs from Brenny Transportation.
There will be plenty of live music throughout the downtown area, along with great food and drinks spread out among the shops and restaurants in St. Joe.

WinterWalk will feature plenty of food, fun, and chances to give back. Festival-goers can sample seasonal sausages from St. Joe Meat Market, shop for unique holiday gifts at local craft vendors and enjoy a hot turkey meal at the Church of Saint Joseph’s Heritage Hall. Obbink Distilling will sell non-alcoholic homemade Egg Nog and Spiced Hot Chocolate from their tent on Minnesota Street, in addition to their free Hot Cocoa (while supplies last). Uptown Styles and Bad Habit Brewing Co. will host Giving Trees sponsored by the Jaycees, offering an opportunity to support local families in need.
