Tips for Maintaining Your Sanity As a Shut In
These are certainly weird times, like we have never seen before. In the words of the great author, Hunter S. Thompson "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro".
Many have been holed up in their homes, either out of a job or working from home. This can really take a toll on your mental well being, so lets look at a few tips that may help.
Reach out to friends and family that, for one reason or another, you haven't talked to in awhile. Chances are they may be sitting at home just as freakin' bored as you are.
Keep your sense of humor,dammit! Humor can get you through some pretty bad situations. Find reasons to laugh.
If your significant other is getting on your nerves, try remember why you are with them in the first place. A little extra patience will go a long way under these extreme circumstances. A story out of China claimed 88 couple that came out of quarantine, immediately filed for divorce.
Finally, listen to the scientists and medical professionals. It's becoming apparent we can't go by what some politicians are telling us. Peoples lives are worth a whole lot more than the stock market. From the looks of it, we'll probably be using toilet paper for currency anyway.
We'll get through this and will for sure appreciate the little things in life we all took for granted.
