UPDATE: Zimmerman Man Facing Homicide Charges After Crashing Into Business [VIDEO]
ZIMMERMAN -- A Zimmerman man is facing homicide charges after he drove through a building Monday and killed another man.
The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office says charges against 63-year-old Robert Johnson, have been upgraded to Criminal Vehicular Homicide after one of the victims, 51-year-old Daniel Elliott of Hamburg, died Wednesday from his injuries after Johnson drove through the Reliant Systems building.
Johnson has already been charged with Criminal Vehicular Operation resulting in various degrees of bodily harm and driving while intoxicated. He had his first court appearance Wednesday.
The crash resulted in the injuries of four other victims.
According to the criminal complaint Johnson admitted to drinking before the crash and a blood sample has been submitted for testing.
Johnson could face additional charges pending the results of the blood test. He's scheduled to appear in court next on October 11th.
