When Crafts Direct Closes, What Will Happen to Back Shed Brewery?
I feel like almost everyone within the five state area found out that Crafts Direct announced that they will be closing. The news came out on Sunday night, and by Monday, everyone that cared about the store knew about the unfortunate news.
Crafts Direct will begin their liquidation process Thursday of this week.
This situation has brought up another question for craft beer fans. Back Shed Brewery is attached, and essentially part of Crafts Direct. This is where they got their name - it was the "back shed" for Crafts Direct.
Will the closing of Crafts Direct have any sort of affect on Back Shed? The short answer is no. Back Shed Brewery will remain open. Owner Scott Schlecht, through one of our reps here at Townsquare Media, says that they will remain open, although there could an ownership change to the building, as it is attached to Crafts Direct.
So, if you are concerned about the brewery closing, you can rest assured that they will remain open, and will still give the community a place to enjoy their craft beers, events and entertainment as usual.
Some of the things that Back Shed has been doing lately include seasonal bean bag league on Tuesday nights, Trivia on Wednesday nights, and various events such as sip and shops throughout the year. If you would like to book an event at Back Shed, you can do so by contacting them through their website.
If you are interested in being a vendor for any of their sip and shop events, you can inquire through their website as well.
And as the weather is getting warmer, remember that Back Shed does have a great patio too.
