It started out as just another Tuesday morning on the air here at the Loon. A little after 7:45 our general manager popped into the studio and told us to turn on the TV.  The first plane had just hit one of the towers at the World Trade Center.

Like a lot of other people, I figured it was just a accident until the second plane hit. I'll never forget the feeleing of dread that came over me.  Would anything ever be the same again? Could it?

Later we were instructed not to play certain songs until further notice. Songs like "Free Falling", "Jet Airliner" etc.

Laura and I began our marathon broadcast and began to solicit money from our listeners for the Red Cross.  The outpouring of support from the St Cloud area was astonishing. People just began to pour into the lobby to drop off whatever they could spare. Little kids coming in with their piggybanks.

The support from this community will be something I'll remember always. I knew that day that everything would be alright.

Where were you and what were you doing when the terror attack of September 11th happened?
