A female prisoner in Vietnam avoided execution after paying a fellow inmate $2,200 for his semen - which she used to impregnate herself. Nguyen Thi Hue, 42, paid another male inmate at the mixed prison to leave his sperm in plastic bags at a hiding place in jail. She used a syringe to impregnate herself, forcing authorities to make her death sentence turn into one of life imprisonment.
