MAKE A STOP

If you are driving North around Park Rapids, you may encounter this little hole in the wall place called the Y Steak House.  They are family owned since 1845 according to their website.  The restaurant is located just off of US 71.

SEASONAL

Y Steak House is a seasonal restaurant that opened in May of this year and will remain open until late fall?  The date that they close for the season has not been posted on their website or social media (that I can find).

MENU

The menu is limited, but has everything on it that you would expect from a steakhouse.  Something that seems to be lacking a bit in Minnesota.  I have spoken to several people who think that there should be more traditional steakhouses here, especially being in the Upper Midwest.

Their entree menu says it is available from 4pm to close, they also serve burgers, salads, appetizers and desserts.  There is also a kids menu available for kids under 12.  If you follow them on social media, they do mention a breakfast menu too.  But that does seem to be for special occasions and for fundraising opportunities.

Whatever your taste - definitely need to plan to make a stop at this bar/steak house if you will be in the area.  Lots of state parks around, so an easy answer if you want some restaurant food instead of campfire food; if you're camping.
