'Alarm Clock' had good success breaking into the Top 30, reaching #29 which made this album from 1971 his best - selling of any in his catalog.
Richie Havens who opened the gates of the music monster Woodstock with a song he co-wrote, "Handsome Johnny" definitely goes a long way on an artists resume'. Richie has never played for a crowd that large but he has been around the block.
A confusing title no doubt for this concept album released in 1969, however: 'Richard P. Havens, 1983' was pretty well received. The album reached #80 on the pop chart.
When 'Nobody Left to Crown' was released who'd a thought it would be his last, the album represents a pinnacle of Richie's very distinguished career.
