Chickenfoot Set to Release New Album

Chickenfoot III will be released today, but it's only their second album. What's with the confusing title? Are they copying another super group? Joe Satriani clears it up.  Traveling Wilburys had two records, Vol. 1 and Vol. 3, so I was wondering if Chickenfoot was attempting to follow suit.

Guitarist Joe Satriani tells SleazeRoxx that the band was trying to, "inject as much humor into the situation as possible" and that there is no cryptic message or 3D tie in or a mysterious Chickenfoot II album that no one knows about.

Satch also revealed that they're heading out on a mini-tour in November, but a full scale road trip is scheduled for 2012. There will be a slightly different line up for the tour, though as drummer Chad Smith has prior commitments with Red Hot Chili Peppers.
