SEATTLE - Pat Dean collected his first major league win as the Twins defeated the Mariners 7-2 on Friday night.

Dean went seven innings, allowing two runs while striking out eight. The Twins bats tagged Felix Hernandez for six runs in six innings.

Both Miguel Sano and Joe Mauer homered for the Twins. Robbie Grossman picked up a key two-run double in the third.

The Twins have improved to 13-34 and will play Seattle again on Saturday night at 9:10 p.m. CT. Hear all the action on AM1240 WJON.
