Former NFL Coach (And Soundbite Legend) Dennis Green Dies
Dennis Green, the former Vikings and Cardinals coach, who provided one of the most memorable lines in NFL history, has passed away. He was 67.
Green’s family said he died of “complications of cardiac arrest.”
Green led the Vikings from 1992-2001, taking them to the playoffs eight times and twice reaching the NFC Championship.
He also coached the Cardinald from 2004-2006, a term that will mostly be remembered for something that happened off the field. In a postgame press conference following a loss to the Bears, he infamously lost his temper and declared, “They are who we thought they were and we let them off the hook!”

Rest in peace Denny. I lost my mother in April, I feel like I just lost father.
