Did You Give Your Car A Name? [POLL]

Seems a lot of people name their cars, but why? Do they recognize it when you call them by name?

I have to honestly admit of all the cars I have owned I have never once named any of them.

What does the purpose serve naming them, out of pure fun? Make it part of the family? I'm not really sure. Not saying it's a bad thing, probably more humorous than anything but that's okay.
