ST. JOSEPH - It was a cold sub-zero (Saturday) morning for the St. Cloud Disc Golf Club's 24th annual Ice Bowl. Coordinator Cody Parsons organizes the charity event that helps raise funds and food for the St. Joseph food shelf.

Last year the Ice Bowl raised over $9,500 for the food shelf and collected over 125 pounds of food. Nearly 120 competitors came out to play in the tournament last year and this year around 75 are competing.

"It's an individual sport but they [competitors] are put into groups to compete amongst their division that they chose to play in." -Parsons

First time Ice Bowl competitor, Ryan Sanders says the event is for a good cause and it's great to just get out and play some disk golf. He says "as long as I don't freeze my hands off I think it's a win."
