An early pressing of the Beatles White Album has a new home.

Over the weekend, a copy of the Beatles White Album, with the pressing number A0000001 sold at the Heritage Auctions Music and Memorabilia Signature Auction for $35 thousand dollars.

At $35 grand, it was one of the most expensive pieces up for sale. Only a coffee mug and a script from the film Big Jake fetched more. Also up for bids was an army jacket and hat and a pair of pants worn by Elvis Presley, plus a rare cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club all went for more than $30 thousand dollars.

Rolling Stones, Steppenwolf and other Elvis memoribilia also went home with new owners.
