In celebration of 'National Get Outdoors Day,' admission will be free at all 76 state parks in Minnesota tomorrow. With any luck, we might even see some sunshine and warmer temps. And remember, you don't need a license to fish at most Minnesota state parks.

  • Lake Maria State Park:  10 am Zoomobile - You'll see live animals in this MN Zoo presentation. 11 am  Raptor Center - Learn about MN raptors while seeing them up close. There will also be a park history presentation and free cake and ice cream!
  • Glacial Lakes State Park:  The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park will be serving hot dogs and a beverage to visitors in the park from 12pm to 2:00pm.   There will also be a scavenger hunt for children. Tours will also be organized for those who would like to see the creatures and features of Glacial Lakes State Park. The tour will start at 12:30 pm. Astronomy and Stargazing - See stars, planets, galaxies and nebulae up close with your own eyes, begins at dusk.
  • Sibley State Park:  Digital Photography for Kids - 1p-2p, Kids have fun learning how to use a digital camera. You'll take your own pictures of nature and then print one out to take home. Digital cameras are furnished.
