We’ve all been there – you’re taking a lengthy road trip with your family, and everything imaginable goes wrong. The car battery doesn’t stay charged, someone has to stop the trip every 20 minutes to use the restroom, someone else gets sick, and the kids are constantly picking on each other while the parents are getting irate.

Yup, it’s the stereotypical family vacation. It’s basically a rite of passage. I can’t count how many times I’ve had this experience in my life. Of course, it’s not particularly humorous at the time, but in hindsight it all makes for some good stories. That’s why I’m excited to see “Leaving Iowa.”

It’s a live comedy about a middle aged man who relives memories with his family, who embark on a road trip where practically everything goes wrong. Personally, I love shows like this simply because they’re so relatable and true. You can catch “Leaving Iowa” performances at Pioneer Place (St. Cloud) from April 26th through May 6th. You can get your tickets now for $24 a piece.
