Following last Saturday's 40-35 upset win in Arkansas over #4 Henderson State (11-1) in the opening round of the NCAA Division II playoffs, the #12 St. Cloud State Huskies (11-1) face the top-ranked D-2 team in the nation today in Mankato against NSIC rival Minnesota State (11-0) at Noon. MSU is coming off a first-round bye.

SCSU fans wanting to make the trip can get tickets at the stadium box office in Mankato starting at 10:30 this morning.

While the Huskies and Mavericks are both members of the NSIC, this will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. Minnesota State won the NSIC overall championship and South Division title with an 11-0 overall record and 7-0 mark in their division. The Huskies tied for second place in the overall NSIC standings and finished second in the NSIC North.

Another NSIC team continues it's D-2 playoff run today as well, with the University of Minnesota-Duluth traveling to Southwest Missouri State this afternoon.
