It Turns Out I’ve Been Giving Out the “Cool” Candy For Halloween, Have You?

An unwritten rule among kids over the years is to alert other kids of the houses that give out crap candy (a single mini Tootsie roll? REALLY?!) and the houses that give out the Good Stuff (FULL SIZE SNICKERS??!!?!?!). In my day, that involved meeting at the street corner and breaking down the neighborhood. Now kids can text each other. Meh.

Ranker.com released a survey of the "cool" candy to give out this year. Turns out I've had it right for years!

#1 is none other than Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Specifically, the cups. The seasonal Peanut Butter Pumpkins are ranked #5.

The Top 5:

1. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
2. Twix
3. Kit Kat
4. Snickers
5. Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins

What surprised me was that Heath Bars came in at #50, behind Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses. The fact that "pumpkin spice" anything is in the top 50 leads me to believe that this list is bogus. Therefor, I'll just eat the candy myself this year.

Can't be too cautious.
