Jimi Hendrix Biopic In The Works?

One of the stars of the new Captain America film may have accidentally leaked the details in an interview with Esquire Magazine.

Actress Hayley Atwell revealed in an interview in the latest issue of Esquire Magazine that she may be starring in a new biopic about Jimi Hendrix.

When asked about her next project she said, "possibly a Jimi Hendrix biopic. But I don't know, really." It would be an independent film with rapper Andre 3000 in the title role. Apparently, Andre has been lobbying for the job since 2004. He said that he would love to take on Jimi's "wild" onstage persona as well as his more calm demeanor away from the stage.

Lenny Kravitz and Lawrence Fishburne have also asked to do the role, but securing the rights to anything Jimi Hendrix from his stepsister Janie Hendrix is nearly impossible.
