Joe Perry has unveiled the first video from the 'Joe Perry's Merry Christmas' EP that he released last week. You can watch his take on Chuck Berry's 'Run Run Rudolph' above.

Perry gives a faithful, swinging rendition of the song, which has been covered over the years by such artists as Lemmy, Bryan Adams and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. The clip alternates between Perry and six children of varying ages who take delight in the musical instruments they receive for Christmas.

“I have wanted to do a Christmas CD with Aerosmith for years, but it seems we never have the time to record one,” Perry said about the EP. “When my ‘Rocks’ book tour ended, the timing was right — we were in L.A. with access to a studio with some really talented friends and it all fell together. I was finally able to record some Christmas classics for the fans.”

The EP features three other songs -- 'White Christmas,' 'Silent Night' and 'Santa Claus Is Back in Town' -- with friend (and occasional Aerosmith sideman) Johnny Depp on rhythm guitar.
