Joe Satriani released a memoir, but just to be clear, it's not a tell all autobiography.

Blues man Joe Satriani is the latest in a string of musicians to release a memoir, but Joe tells Billboard, that it's not an autobiography because he says he's, "too young".

Satch, who's 57, didn't really follow through with what he had planned for the book.

The book, called Strange Beautiful Music focuses mainly on his music and not on all the juicy details of his personal life. Some of his personal life ended up in the book, but Joe says that he pretty much stuck to a “certain set of guidelines,” but there aren’t any old family photos or extensive personal stories.

The book features a forward written by Brian May of Queen and commentary from other musicians that Joe has worked with over the years.

Strange Beautiful Music: A Musical Memoir was released to accompany his new boxed set, Joe Satriani: The Complete Studio Recording and is available now wherever books are sold.
