Litchfield's Starlite Drive-In Introduces New Owners

Summertime means outdoor fun, and Litchfield's Starlite Drive-In is back with new owners.

Michael and Michelle Maher introduced themselves as the new owners of the Starlite Drive-In in a Facebook post.

Starlite Drive-In: New Ownership, (Mostly) the Same Theater We Love

The Mahers say that they'll keep the iconic drive-in theater mostly as-is, with plans to make it more inviting and accessible.

Showing This Weekend at Starlite Drive-In (Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th)

Screen #1 will feature Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes at 9:05pm and Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (in honor of the 25th anniversary of its release) at 11:35pm.

Screen #2 will feature The Fall Guy at 9:05pm and Abigail at 11pm.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (rated PG-13)

The sequel to War for the Planet of the Apes stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy. "Many years after the reign of Caesar, a young ape goes on a journey that will lead him to question everything he's been taught about the past and make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike."

The Fall Guy (rated PG-13)

This action/comedy stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. "After leaving the business one year earlier, battle-scarred stuntman Colt Seavers springs back into action when the star of a big studio movie suddenly disappears. As the mystery surrounding the missing actor deepens, Colt soon finds himself ensnared in a sinister plot that pushes him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt."

Abigail (rated R)

This horror/thriller stars Alisha Weir and Angus Cloud. "A group of would-be criminals kidnaps the 12-year-old daughter of a powerful underworld figure. Holding her for ransom in an isolated mansion, their plan starts to unravel when they discover their young captive is actually a bloodthirsty vampire."
