McKinney Sentenced to Prison in 2013 Wylie Killing [VIDEO]

FOLEY -- A Benton County judge has sentenced a St. Cloud man to 12 years in prison and another six years on supervised release in the killing of Jamie Wylie.

Twenty-seven-year-old Travis McKinney had pleaded guilty to an amended charge of Aiding an Offender in the shooting death of Wylie.

Benton County Attorney Philip Miller says McKinney admitted that he knew fellow defendant Joshua Smith had murdered Wylie and that he helped Smith by destroying or concealing evidence when he moved Wylie's body from one location to another in Benton County.

The 26-year-old Smith was sentenced to more than 33 years in prison for aiding and abetting second degree murder. Smith was sentenced in October.

Wylie's body was found behind the Honda House east of St. Cloud in March 2014, after his family said they last had contact with him in December 2013.
