Ozzy to be Honored Tonight at MusiCares Benefit

Ozzy Osbourne doesn't seem like the caring type, but the soft, squishy Ozzy lurks behind the bat heads, tattoos and foul language and tonight he will be honored for his caring ways.

Ozzy Osbourne is being bestowed with a special honor tonight in Los Angeles.

He is being presented with the MusiCares Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his dedication to others recovering from addiction issues.

As someone who is in recovery themselves, the assistance one gets from others who have walked in your shoes is immeasurable, and there are more of us out there than I ever realized. The advice, the help, the inspiration and the motivation we get from other recovering addicts and alcoholics can only be repaid by doing what Ozzy did: passing it on.

Ozzy will be performing tonight along with Metallica, Joe Walsh and former Guns n’ Roses guitarist Slash. Tonight marks the 10^th Anniversary of the MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit and I wish I could be there.
