Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl returned to the drum kit during a Led Zeppelin tribute at the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday (Dec. 2). Grohl switched places with his drummer Taylor Hawkins, who sang 'Black Dog' and 'Rock and Roll' while Grohl filled a chair that made him famous with Nirvana.
Isn't it amazing that a band from England who was influenced by American music achieves world wide fame and critical success and then is honored for their contribution to American arts and culture? It happened over the weekend as Led Zeppelin was honored by the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The three surviving members of Led Zeppelin are slated for an appearance on Monday night's (Dec. 3) 'Late Show with David Letterman.'
If you're like me, you likely have Led Zeppelin's catalog on vinyl, CD, the first and second boxed set. You also own How the West was Won and Celebration Day on CD, DVD and Blu-Ray, but now Led Zeppelin's entire catalog is getting the deluxe treatment.
Rock of Ages used music to enhance the story, but with this new stage production, rock and roll is the story. Interesting? Or Cheesy?
