The Black Friday Edition of Record Store Day promises another batch of incredibly interesting and collectable vinyl.

Nirvana's 3rd and final album, In Utero was originally recorded in Cannon Falls, Minnesota at a studio set up by Producer/Engineer Steve Albini. His original mix of the effort received harsh criticism from record execs, and was sent out to another producer to be re-remixed, much to Albini's anger and the band's dismay. The subsequent release left a finely polished top on the band's sound that did not sit well with the group, even though it spurred Nirvana to it's greatest sales height of the time.

With the approval of Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, Albini "un-remixed" and remastered the album at Abbey Road Studios this year and that mix is being issued on CLEAR 45 RPM LPs, cut to copper plates for this special indie record store exclusive. You'll find the sound grittier, harsher and more garage-rock, just as the band intended.
