ROCORI Falls Short against Detroit Lakes in Fargo
The Rocori football team lost 29-28 at the Fargodome Thursday night. Detroit Lakes went out to a 29-0 lead at halftime before Rocori can storming back in the 2nd half. Rocori got on the board in the 2nd half with a Alex Austad 7-yard touchdown run. The 2-point conversion failed and Rocori trailed 29-6. Rocori scored next on a 3-yard touchdown run from Adam Dingman and the Spartans got the 2-point conversion to cut the lead to 29-14.
Rocori got a pair of touchdown passes from Mac Mueller to Jake Huber in the 4th quarter but only converted the 2-point conversion try after the 2nd touchdown and come up short. The TD passes to Huber covered 52 and 57 yards.
Rocori's season ends with a record of 6-4. The Spartans were the defending Class 4A state champs.
