The Royals beat the Twins 6-3 at Kauffman Stadium Thursday night. The Royals took two out of three games in the series.

The Twins again struggled with runners in scoring position, going 2-12 for a second straight night while stranding 12 runners on the basepaths.

Kevin Correia tossed a quality start to leave the game with a no-decision. Correia lasted six innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits with four strikeouts and no walks issued.

The Twins are now 48-59 on the season, 11 games out of first place and 10.5 games out of a wild card spot.

Minnesota is at Chicago Friday to begin a series with the White Sox. Sox ace Chris Sale (10-1) will get the start against the Twins’ Logan Darnell.
