It has been 40 years since Rush's self titled debut album and they're celebrating with a special reissue.

I am always floored by the amount of awesome noise the three members of Rush can make. Everything they do is like sonic perfection that makes any audiophile sqeal with delight. OK, maybe not squeal, but definitely crank up the headphones, close their eyes and lean back. It's all great. Now, the excellence that is their debut album is getting a 40th anniversary remaster.

A special vinyl edition of their 1974 album will be hitting stores and loaded down with extras. Fans who pick it up will be treated to a replica of their first Canadian tour promotional poster and never before seen photos of the band.

The album hits shelves today.
