He fronted an 80's band, starred on Broadway and recently lost his home to Hurricane Irene. Oh yeah. And he's Canadian.

Sebastian Bach says in an interview with the CBC that singing as a soprano in his church choir was what led him to seek a career in rock and roll.

When he was a child in Ontario, he sang a solo of Gloria in Excelsis Deo. He was doing the high parts and hitting these "insane notes" and it was that point in the song that was the "exact moment" he fell in love with singing and vowed that singing was what he was going to do with his life.

He is going to be living out that vow tonight in Phoenix as his band (not Skid Row) is playing with Guns n' Roses. Sebastian Bach is also the featured singer when he plays Las Vegas with GNR on Friday and Saturday night.

We'll see after a week with Axl if Sebastian Bach still wants to keep singing.
