Sophie Simmons Follows in Her Famous Father’s Footsteps

Gene Simmons' daughter Sophie has decided to follow in her father's footsteps and is trying to break into the music business via reality TV. 

The judges at The X Factor may have been under some pressure recently to put one contestant through.

Sophie Simmons has decided to follow in her father's foot steps and try her hand in the music business and Gene Simmons attended her audition. Sophie says she was just looking to get "a fair shot" but that's not always easy when your last name is Simmons and your superstar dad is standing right there.

The judges say that they didn't know who she was and Sophie apparently didn't tell her dad what she was doing. Gene said he learned of the audition only yesterday when she called to explain why she wasn't going to be home for Father's Day. When Gene found out about her plans, he boarded a flight and was there in San Francisco for her audition.

So, was Sophie put through to the next round? No one is saying, so I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
