ST. CLOUD (WJON News) - Local churches are asking for help to provide the traditional Ramadan snack of dates to local Muslim families.

Salem Lutheran Church and First Presbyterian Church are raising funds to provide over 200 boxes of dates to families observing the sacred holiday of Ramadan by fasting from dawn to dusk every day. The month-long fast is one of the main pillars of Islam.
